Jokowi Reviews IKN Command Center And Mini TVRI Studio In East Kalimantan

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) directly inspected the Nusantara Capital Command Center (IKN) located at the IKN Construction Worker Residential, East Kalimantan (Kaltim) on Friday, March 1.

The President also visited the mini TVRI studio which is located next to the IKN Command Center.

The Nusantara Command Center was built to optimize the construction of the Nusantara City house as well as integration and coordination. The Nusantara Command Center is also one of the main infrastructure supporting the smart city of the archipelago.

The Command Center phase 1 has its main function in monitoring the construction of Indonesian women by utilizing CCTV-based surveillance and monitoring technology, visual-based drone monitoring, and digital service integration.

After reviewing the Nusantara Command Center, President Jokowi then visited the TVRI mini studio.

TVRI President Director Imam Brotoseno said that in accordance with the rules, TVRI was present at IKN.

To note, in Government Regulation Number 11 of 2005 concerning the Broadcasting of Public Broadcasting Institutions, it is stated that RRI and TVRI are domiciled in the state capital of the Republic of Indonesia and its branches are in the regions.

"This means that TVRI must be present in the archipelago, the new state capital," said Imam Brotoseno, quoted from a written statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia, Friday, March 1.

Furthermore, Imam explained that TVRI's presence at IKN is a commitment from TVRI to support IKN development, as well as socializing IKN, as well as providing information both domestically and abroad through TVRI World.

"TVRI World is specifically for global, foreign, English audiences, there are also investment opportunities that invite investors to come to IKN as well," he said.
