The Chancellor's Camp for the inactive Pancasila University, Edie Toet Hendratno alias ETH, claims that the reporting of cases of alleged sexual harassment is politically nuanced. Because, soon there will be a rector election. The claim was conveyed by Faizal Hafied as attorney, Edie Toet Hendratno. According to him, the report was only to corner his client. "We believe that no LP will be sent if there is no rector election process. So this is very thick because there will be a rector election this March, there will be reporting reports so as to discredit our clients," Faizal told reporters, Thursday, February 29. The belief that the alleged harassment case was politicized was due to several factors. Apart from the approaching process of selecting the rector, the timing of the incident reported by the reporting party is said to have been too long. In fact, said Faizal, if there really was a criminal act of sexual harassment committed by his client, the victims could immediately make a police report. "So if there is no rector election, then this case will not be LP. Because the case is considered a long time. If it is felt that the incident actually happened, report it as soon as possible," he said. Not only that, Faizal emphasized that his client did not abuse him. However, the information circulating was made as if Edie Toet Hendratno had committed a criminal act. "At the same time we clarify that everything circulating is inappropriate, inappropriate and misleading news and is a character assassination for our clients," said Faizal. In this case, Edie was reported by two parties. One of them is RZ who is an employee at Pancasila University. The report is registered with the number LP/B/193/I/2024/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya, dated January 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, the other LPs are delegations from Bareskrim Polri. Currently, the two reports are still in the process of being investigated. The Chancellor of Pancasila University is suspected of violating Article 6 of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS).
