Missing Panwaslu Members In Mimika, Central Papua Found Selamat

Mimika Police Chief AKBP I Gede Putra said the joint SAR team had found Daud Kudiai, a member of the election supervisory officer (panwaslu) of Mimika Barat Jauh District, Central Papua, who had been reported missing since February 11.

Daud Kudiai, who was reported missing while attending an election preparation meeting at the Mimika Barat Jauh District office, was found safe on Wednesday (28/2).

"The victim was found about 500 meters from the crime scene, where the witness saw the last victim," said Mimika Police Chief, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 29.

When the team conducted a search that was carried out by scattering, the victim was found walking without wearing clothes with several scratches on his body.

The victim was then taken by officers to the Potowati Buru Health Center for examination of his health condition.

From the reports received, it was revealed that the person concerned was anemia and hyperthermia.

"The victim is scheduled to be taken to Timika for further health checks," explained Police Chief AKBP I Gede Putra.
