Rp100 Million Lost, An Election Organizer In Indramayu Tricked Democratic Legislative Candidates

INDRAMAYU - An election organizer in Indramayu, West Java, is suspected of defrauding the legislative candidate. The legislative candidate lost Rp 100 as well and was promised significant votes.

The success team (timses) supporting the legislative candidate visited the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) Bawaslu, Indramayu Regency, last Tuesday.

They are supporters of one of the legislative candidates in the electoral district 5 Indramayu from the Democratic Party. The legislative candidate fought for a seat in the Indramayu DPRD.

The three of them went to the Gakkumdu Center to report three unscrupulous organizers of the 2024 General Election who were suspected of committing fraud against the legislative candidates they support.

"We came here because we felt cheated or harmed by our fellow organizers at the PKD, PTPS, and PPK levels in Kroya District," said the representative of the legislative team, Uho Alkhudry.

Uho said the legislative candidate they supported was deceived by the lure of getting votes from the organizers. The candidate concerned was then asked to transfer some money.

"Remember this the voices of the organizers because we did not ask for a vote inflated, nor did we ask for additional votes, nor did we buy votes, but we with the organizers agreed that the organizers' votes be transferred to us," he said.

Uho explained that the organizers previously lured that for the Indramayu DPRD legislative election they had not received an order. However, for the provincial DPRD and DPR there are already orders.

Because of these lure, the candidate concerned entered into an agreement with the organizers.

The legislative candidate immediately transferred approximately Rp 100 million in cash, with the agreement that the organizers would give 2,890 votes to the legislative candidate.

Instead of gaining big votes, the candidate's vote was far from expectations. From the calculation of the timses, the candidate from the Democrats in the electoral district of Indramayu only received less than 400 votes in the local area.

"Because we already believe that in that area we have committed to them, but it turns out that in that area zonk, there we feel very deceived by them," he explained.

Uho said that the agreement began with the lure of TKD personnel in the Kroya District area.

The person then offered that the cooperation involved PTPS and PPK so that it made him feel confident.
