General Dudung Abdurachman Chooses Meatball Trade After Retired From The TNI

YOGYAKARTA - General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman chose to become a businessman after retired from the TNI. The former Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) opened a meatball and soto business in Cibeber, South Cimahi District, Cimahi City, West Java. Dudung's name had reappeared when he became a supporter of candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming.

General Dudung Abdurachman has recently retired. The 59-year-old man retired on November 17, 2023. His position as Army Chief of Staff was replaced by General Agus Subiyanto. Seeing General Dudung who penetrated the business world, it is interesting to look at his profile and culinary business.

Dudung Abdurachman runs a culinary business selling meatballs whose outlet location is behind the Unjani campus, Cimahi. The meatball restaurant is named Bakso and Soto Mang Uka' with a large outlet and has dozens of employees. The name selection of the restaurant was taken from his father's name.

"As long as the name is taken from the name of my father Nasuha, the nickname is Mang Uka," said General Dudung.

Many are wondering why General Dudung chose to enter the business world after retiring from a high position in the TNI. The reason he trades meatballs is because he wants to earn additional income after completing his duties from members of the TNI.

"In this retirement period, I am of course looking for additional (income). In addition to farming and selling, I am now doing small business, hopefully this meatball can develop in several areas," said Dudung.

Dudung also revealed why he chose the culinary business line because he saw the opportunity was quite high. This food menu is being loved by many young people who often look for cheap and simple meals, such as soup and meatballs.

"In addition, because I also like to eat meatballs. Why is it located here because it is near Unjani, there are many students and densely populated. Thank God I got land here, so this is the first time, hopefully it can develop again," said Dudung.

As the owner or owner of the restaurant, Dudung promotes the culinary meatballs and soup that he offers in contrast to others. In addition to providing a variety of menus, there are also many stalls in his place. He wants his customers to have many choices when visiting his meatball outlets.

TNI General Dudung Abdurachman was born in Bandung on November 19, 1965. Dudung became one of the proud Indonesian TNI soldiers who had a brilliant career. Initially Dudung plunged into the world, namely the 1988 Military Academy (Akmil) from Infantry branching.

After successfully graduating from the Military Academy, Dudung Abdurachman held the position of Danton III Company B Yonif 744/Satya Yudha Bakti in NTT from 1989 to 1992. Dudung managed to carve a brilliant track record during his career in the military world. He once held a number of strategic positions.

Dudung Abdurachman served as Dandim 0418/Palembang in 2006-2008, Dandenma TNI Headquarters in 2015, Deputy Governor of Military Academy in 2015-2016, Governor of Military Academy in 2018-2020, Pangdam Jayakarta in 2020-2021, and Pangkostrad in 2021. In November 2021, he was appointed by President Jokowi to occupy the position of Army Chief of Staff replacing General Andika Perkasa who was promoted as TNI Commander.
