JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) is conducting an investigation and follow-up to the alleged sexual harassment case of the Chancellor of Pancasila University (UP) with the initials ETH.

"Currently the case is being followed up by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture to collect evidence. So based on public reports, an investigation is currently being carried out on this case," said Acting Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Nizam when confirmed, Tuesday, February 27.

This follow-up case will be taken by the Ministry of Education and Culture through the task force (task) in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Permendikbudristek) Number 30 of 2021 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) in universities, including protection and rights of victims. main.

"The ministry carries out follow-up according to Permendikbudristek regarding PPKS. Usually together with LLDIKTI and the Higher Education Organizing Body," he said.

It was explained that this investigation would be different from the police. As state security officers, they are in accordance with existing laws and regulations," he explained.

Meanwhile, the handling that must be carried out by universities includes assistance, protection, imposition of administrative sanctions, and recovery of victims through the PPKS Task Force.

The Chancellor of Pancasila University with the initials ETH was reported to Polda Metro Jaya on charges of sexual harassment of his employee RZ.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya would summon the rector of Pancasila University with the initials ETH (72) regarding the alleged sexual harassment of its employee with the initials RZ (42).

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, confirmed the summons and stated that this case was handled by the Sub-Directorate of Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya.

The report related to this case is registered with the number LP/B/193/I/2024/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated January 12, 2024. ETH was reported under Article 6 of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS).

As is known, Polda Metro Jaya is currently investigating a case of alleged harassment by the rector of Pancasila University.

Investigators from the Renakta Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya have scheduled a summons for ETH, but the person concerned is unable to attend.
