Bareskrim Disrupt the Circulation of 20 Kilograms of Marijuana to Tanjung Priok Bahari Village

JAKARTA - The Narcotics Crime Directorate of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit has thwarted the circulation of 20 kilograms of marijuana to Bahari Village, North Jakarta, or known as a drug village.

Director of Criminal Narcotics of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Brigjen Eko Hadi Santoso, said the operation took place at the Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, on Saturday (25/7).

There is one suspect who has been named in this case, namely GA alias Aboy who plays the role of a provider/courier.

Meanwhile, two other people are on the list of wanted persons (DPO), namely I alias RD as the owner and controller of the field and R as the owner of the field.

Eko explained that the discovery of this marijuana distribution began when a joint team consisting of Subdit IV and the NIC Task Force of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Densus 88 AT Task Force of South Sumatra, Baharkam Polri, Lampung Police Narcotics Division, and Customs and Excise conducted an inspection of a bus with the police number BA 7243 NU at the entrance to Bakauheni Port, South Lampung.

During the inspection, the team found a black suitcase suspected of containing marijuana of approximately 20 kilograms.

"The plan is to take it to Bahari, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta (drug village), to be stored in a rented house and will be distributed in the area," said Eko as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 3.

From the results of the initial interrogation, it was found that the suspect GA had carried out a cannabis drug transaction in Panyabungan, North Sumatra, twice.

In the third transaction, GA departed from Tanjung Priok Station, North Jakarta, on Monday (20/7) and arrived at Panyabungan on Friday (24/7).

In Panyabungan, the DPO suspect with the initials I alias RD together with R put 20 bags of dried marijuana into a black suitcase that had been prepared by RD, while GA only watched it.

On the way back to North Jakarta on Saturday (25/7), the bus GA was riding was suddenly stopped by police officers. Eko revealed that when GA saw the police, the suspect panicked and was afraid.

"GA immediately approached the police officer and surrendered while saying 'pak, just arrest me'," he explained.

Then, GA and 20 kilograms of marijuana evidence were secured by officers and taken to the Bareskrim Polri Building.

For the disclosure of this case, the conversion of souls that were successfully saved was around 26,787 souls.

Eko said that at present, investigators are still developing the case to arrest DPO and other related networks and conduct a case study.
