Airlangga Talks Jokowi Closer To Golkar: He Owns All Parties

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party as well as Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto emphasized that President Joko Widodo is a national figure who belongs to all parties.

"Pak Jokowikanketokoh nasional, jadi dia milik semua partai,"kata Airlangga usai mengikuti Sidang Kabinet Paripurna di Istana Negara, Jakarta dilansir ANTARA, Senin, 26 Februari.

Airlangga said it was to answer the issue of Jokowi's passing to the Golkar Party.

When asked about whether or not there was a formal discussion regarding Jokowi's plan to join the Golkar Party, Airlangga again emphasized Jokowi belonging to all parties.

"As I said, (Jokowi) a national figure, yes, all parties have," he said.

Meanwhile, Golkar Party politician who is also the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board, Bahlil Lahadalia, admitted that he was not aware of the issue.

"I didn't hear that. The president became president of the Republic of Indonesia. That's not true (Jokowi joined the Golkar Party)," said Bahlil.
