JAKARTA - The National Corruption Prevention Strategic Team (Stranas PK) said that Makassar New Port is one of the ports that has a green ramp. They have conducted an evaluation based on the National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE).

PK Stranas Implementing Coordinator Pahala Nainggolan said NLE is one of the government's programs regulated in Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 5 of 2020 concerning the Arrangement of the National Logistics Ecosystem. The goal is to ensure the smooth movement of the flow of export and import goods as well as the movement of the flow of goods between regions.

"From the results of the evaluation of the STRANAS PK, Makassar New Port has a green report card in early 2024. Of the 46 main ports that are the focus, five ports have green report cards," Pahala said in a written statement quoted on Saturday, February 24.

Pahala explained that there are eight indicators of NLE evaluation. One of them is the application of online single billing to prevent extortion practices.

"As for other ports, Pahala said, repairs still need to be made. (Because, red) 29 ports (report, red) yellow and 12 ports with red reports," he said.

Pahala hopes that Makassar New Port, which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Thursday, February 22, can encourage the digitization of ports in Eastern Indonesia.

"This is for the efficiency and effectiveness of the service," he said.

In addition, port digitization can facilitate the investment process in Indonesia to drive the economy. "Stranas PK encourages digitalization and system integration from at least 18 ministries/agencies involved in port services," explained Pahala.

"The reason is that the system of ministries and institutions operating in port services is not integrated, causing services to be inefficient because the system is separate and of course opens up opportunities for extortion that lead to high port service costs," he concluded.
