Persecutor Of TNI Members To Death In Keerom Papua Arrested

JAYAPURA - Keerom Police Chief, Papua, AKBP Christian Aer, said the Pamtas Task Force Battalion 122/TS handed over a suspected molester who caused TNI members to die to the Keerom Police in Arso.

"It is true, the Keerom Police have received one of the alleged perpetrators of the molestation, namely DD (21), from the Pamtas Task Force Battalion 122/TS. The handover was made Friday (23/2)," Christian Aer was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Saturday, February 24.

The alleged perpetrator (DD) assaulted Sergeant TW, who from the report revealed that it occurred when the victim passed through the Kalimo area, Thursday night (22/2).

The victim who crossed with the supplier was reportedly intercepted by two people who asked for Rp500 thousand but only gave Rp100 thousand.

The perpetrators did not accept that there was a commotion that caused Serka TW to be injured and died.

From the statement of Yonif 122/TS soldiers, it was revealed that DS' co-experts managed to escape when they were about to be arrested with DD in the Kalimo area.

"Currently, the alleged perpetrator is being held at the Keerom Police Detention Center," said Christian Aer.

The late Serka TW is a member of the Yalimo Koramil, Papua Mountains, which during the incident was on its way across the Trans Papua Jayapura -Wamena axis road that crossed Yalimo.
