Without Information, The East Seram Regional Secretary Mangkir Was Examined By The Maluku Prosecutor's Office As A Corruption Suspect

AMBON - Regional Secretary of East Seram Regency, Maluku Province, DjK is absent from the summons of the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office after determining himself as a suspect in the alleged corruption of the direct and indirect expenditure budget in 2021. "For the first time, DjK was summoned as a suspect to be questioned by investigators from the Maluku Prosecutor's Office, but was not present," said Acting Head of the Maluku Attorney General's Office, Aizit P. Latuconsina in Ambon, Antara, Friday, February 23. According to him, the suspect's absence from the examination should have been carried out on February 19, 2024, without any official statement as an excuse for not fulfilling the prosecutor's summons. "Furthermore, investigators are still scheduling to make a second summons against DjK to be examined as a suspect in this case," he said. Since the end of 2023, DjK is also considered uncooperative in fulfilling the summons of the Maluku Attorney General's Office investigators to be examined as witnesses, even though they have been repeatedly summoned. Even the third summons of investigators on January 1, 2024, was also not fulfilled. "So the Maluku Attorney General's Office investigators have named DjK as a suspect on January 29, 2024, based on the Letter of Determination number: B-201/Q.1/Fd.2/02/2024 because there is sufficient preliminary evidence as a perpetrator of corruption," he said. In this case, investigators have also named IL as the treasurer of expenditure at the East Seram Regency Secretariat for the 2021 fiscal year as a suspect. To note, the direct and indirect expenditure budget for the Regional Secretariat of East Seram Regency for the 2021 fiscal year is IDR 28,839,458,913. This budget consists of a direct expenditure budget (employee expenditure) of IDR 12,789,905,293 and an indirect expenditure budget (expension and services) of IDR 16,049,553,620.

Based on the results of the investigation, it was found that the alleged state financial loss in budget management was Rp2,582,035,800.
