Wait For PDIP's Action To Propose Election Fraud Rights, NasDem-PKB-PKS Ready To Help Data

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party, PKB, and PKS have stated that they have joined one carriage to roll out the right of inquiry in the DPR to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 General Election.

However, the three parties carrying presidential and vice presidential candidates number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar are waiting for the PDI-P (PDIP) to move as the initiator of the proposal for the right of inquiry.

Bearing in mind, the discourse on the right of inquiry was originally put forward by the presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo, which was promoted by PDIP.

"We are intact, the three parties will be with PDIP and we are waiting for PDIP action as the initiator. The one who initiated this is not just anyone, Ganjar, the best cadre, the biggest party presidential candidate in Indonesia. So we take this seriously," said Hermawi at NasDem Tower, Cikini, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 22.

If PDIP needs assistance in the form of supporting data needed in rolling out the rights of inquiry, NasDem, PKB, and PKS are ready to help provide the data they have.

"We are preparing ourselves. Earlier our team has prepared data. If there is anything, later we just need supplies. If we need a team, we will send a team too. But we are waiting for the next step," said Hermawi.

Hermawi said that the composition of four political parties in parliament, namely PDIP, NasDem, PKB, and PKS, had met the quorum aspect in rolling out the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of election fraud.

"So, the inquiry, the composition of the DPR is 575. It can only be dynamic if he (the approval) is more than half (the number of members of the DPR), and we are waiting for that. That means, PDIP without us can't walk, we without PDIP can't walk. Because this is what initiates PDIP, we are waiting for the next response," he explained.

It is known that the proposal to roll out the right of inquiry in the DPR by the party carrying Ganjar-Mahfud, namely PDI Perjuangan and PPP was conveyed in the coordination meeting of the Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN) on February 15, 2024. At that time, they held a closed meeting at the High End Building, Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta.

The right of inquiry is the right granted to the DPR to conduct an investigation into the implementation of a law or government policy related to important, strategic, and broad impacts on social, national and state life which is suspected to be contrary to statutory regulations.

Presidential Candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo said, in the use of the right of inquiry they proposed, the DPR could ask the General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) to investigate allegations of fraud in holding this year's election.

Ganjar also encouraged the presidential and vice presidential camps number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar to participate in using the right to inquiry.

According to him, with the involvement of the PDI-P, PPP, and several parties that carry Anies-Muhaimin in the DPR, namely NasDem, PKB, and PKS, the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of election fraud can be passed by more than 50 percent of DPR members.

"That's why we have to open the door of communication with the party supporting Anies-Muhaimin," said Ganjar in a written statement, Monday, February 19.

"If the DPR is not ready for the right of inquiry, I encourage the use of the DPR's right to interpellation to criticize fraud in the 2024 presidential election," added the former Governor of Central Java.
