Cianjur Police Deploy Inafis Investigate Findings Of Lakban Bound Bodies At Melati Hotel Cipanas

The Cianjur Police deployed an Inafis team to process the crime scene related to the discovery of a man's body wrapped in cloth with his hands and feet tied with black duct tape in a jasmine hotel room on Jalan Raya Cipanas.

The body is known as Andre (32), a resident of Bandar Lampung City.

"When we found a body wrapped in cloth with legs and hands tied with black duct tape, beside the corpse, scissors were found, but we don't know what the scissors were for," said Cianjur Police Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Tono Listianto in Cianjur, West Java, Thursday, February 22, as reported by Antara.

Officers found a number of bruises on the victim's body allegedly due to a blunt object impact, as well as several parts of the victim's body were found to be torn, as well as the cause of death due to strangulation of duct tape on the neck which was attached quite tightly.

Until now, he said, his party was still investigating other causes, including asking for witness statements regarding the victim's whereabouts in the hotel room.

"We are still investigating the case and conducting an investigation regarding the whereabouts of the victim before being found dead," he said.

Meanwhile, according to the hotel manager's statement, the victim was first found by an employee who had received a message that the victim needed help, but when checking there was no answer from the room, so the employee returned by noon.

When the room was locked again, so employees ventured in to confirm the whereabouts of the victim who ordered the room online on Wednesday afternoon, how surprised the employee was when he saw the victim wrapped in a black cloth lying on the floor.

"The employees immediately closed the door and reported the finding of the corpse to us and immediately reported it back to the police, the victim entered on Wednesday and did not leave the room, but had asked for help via WhatsApps messages," said the SN manager.

His party could not confirm with whom the victim came to the hotel because he ordered a hotel room online and the employee did not see any suspicious behavior before or after the victim entered the room.
