Officers evacuate hotel visitors trapped in elevators/ Photos; Antara

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Sudin Gulkarmat South Jakarta) managed to save six residents who were trapped in the Graha Kutilang Hotel elevator, Kramat Pela Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta.

"The rescue was carried out for about 13 minutes," said Head of South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Syamsul Huda, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 20.

He said the incident began when six people entered the elevator on the fourth floor, suddenly the power went out and the elevator went out immediately.

According to him, officers received a report at around 18.05 WIB and immediately dispatched one unit consisting of three rescue workers, then arrived at the scene around 18.16 WIB.

After preparing all the tools, said Syamsul, the officers immediately rescued the victims from 18.17 WIB until they were successfully evacuated at 18.30 WIB.

"All victims can be saved by officers," said Syamsul.
