SRAGEN, Central Java Residents of Sambungmacan, Sragen, Central Java were shocked by the discovery of a grandfather who died in the rice fields in Dukuh Jatisumo, Sambungmacan Village. Moreover, the victim was found prostrate, with his face in the mud.

Sambungmacan Police Chief AKP Widarto and the Sragen Police Inafis team went to the location where the body was found. It is known, the grandfather named Sugi Sasmo Karsono is 68 years old, a resident of Dukuh Pangle, Sambungmacan Village.

Sugi Sasmo's grandfather was found dead by residents in a position like he was prostrates, and next to him there was a hoe.

Sragen Police Chief AKBP Jamal Alam in his statement through the Sambungmacan Police Chief AKP Widarto confirmed the discovery of the body. The victim was found on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 14.30 WIB.

Due to this incident, his party has checked the location and evacuated the victims, together with the medical team and the Sragen Police Inafis team.

The body was then taken to the funeral home in Dukuh Pangle. At the funeral home, the team then carried out an external examination. From the examination, the medical team and Inafis did not find any signs of violence against the victim's body.

The victim was found by residents in the rice field area. From the results of the examination by the Sragen Police medical team and Inafis, there were no signs of violence," explained AKP Widarto.
