Junior High School Student In Nagan Raya Aceh Arrested For Killing New Child Born

SUKA MAKMUE - Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit of Nagan Raya Police, Aceh Province, arrested a junior high school student or a minor, a resident of East Seunagan District, a local district suspected of killing his own baby.

"We have secured the suspect at home after we carried out a series of investigations," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, Iptu Vitra Ramadani, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 20.

Accompanied by KBO Reskrim Ipda Erick Andelia, Head of Public Relations Iptu Fauzi Adha, Iptu Vitra Ramadani said the cause of the suspect's murder of the biological child was because the suspect could not contain shame.

"So, the suspect was desperate to kill the child who was born because he could not hold back his shame with his neighbor," said Iptu Vitra Ramadani.

The suspect is suspected of being desperate to kill his son, after being born in the bathroom of his parents' house by putting the baby in a plastic bag.

Then he allegedly threw the baby into the irrigation canal behind the victim's parents' house, about 50 meters away.

In this case, the police also secured a number of evidences, including a black t-shirt short-sleeved, a red maron culot, and a blue woman BH.

The police also helped secure evidence in the form of a black scissors that allegedly cut the baby's umbilical cord, an Oppo brand smartphone unit, and a number of other evidences.

In this case, the suspect KAM was charged with Article 340 paragraph (1) Juncto Article 342 of the Criminal Code Juncto of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 concerning Child Protection.

"Currently, we have detained the suspect and the process of examining the suspect is also accompanied by the protection of children and women of the Nagan Raya Regency Government," said Iptu Vitra Ramadani.
