TANGERANG All traders of Anyar Market, Tangerang, Banten will occupy new land to trade at the end of February 2024. As targeted by the Tangerang City Government (Pemkot), the relocation of Anyar Market traders will occupy new land that has been prepared previously.

"Our target is that on February 29, all traders will be able to occupy the relocation sites that the city government has prepared," said Acting Mayor of Tangerang Nurdin, quoted from Antara, Monday, February 19.

It should be noted that the Tangerang City Government had previously provided relocation sites at the metropolitan shopping center and Plaza Shinta Cimone. However, traders expressed their aspirations to be relocated to Mambo Market and South Anyar Market.

Responding to the request, the Tangerang City Government has investigated the status of land in South Anyar Market and it turns out to belong to PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) with an area of 2,000 square meters.

The Tangerang City Government has also coordinated and visited PT KAI directly to discuss efforts to rent or borrow and use the land owned by PT KAI which will be used for temporary relocation of traders.

"Alhamdulillah, PT KAI fully supports the efforts of the Tangerang City Government (Pemkot) to lease the land." he said.

Furthermore, the Tangerang City Government will enter into a cooperation agreement with PT KAI regarding the use of land for merchant shelters.

"Insha Allah, on Tuesday we will start working for the location of the hardening. We are targeting the process not long because we are trying various steps in parallel," he said.
