Bima Arya Asks For The Bogor TPT Project To Be Stopped While Pascalongsor Kills 2 Workers

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto visited the landslide site at the Muarasari Village land retaining wall (TPT) project, Bogor City, West Java, which killed two project workers.

Bima said the victims were residents outside the city of Bogor. However, he asked his staff to take care of the victims well and contact the families of the victims.

Bima Arya also requested that the work on this TPT be temporarily suspended. so that the Bogor City Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office can conduct further studies first.

"Then, the work was stopped first. I ordered PUPR to conduct a study for the continuation of this work, whether there were design changes and others. Adjusting this landslide condition," he said.

Previously, four victims were due to landslides in the Muarasari Village land-retaining wall (TPT) project, Bogor City. The joint team from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the Bogor City Fire Department (BPBD) managed to evacuate the victims, even though two people were declared dead.

"There was a subsequent landslide that resulted in four workers being buried. Two people were slightly injured, one of whom is still being treated at the Ciawi Hospital, while two victims were declared dead," said Head of BPBD Bogor City Hidayatulloh, quoted from Antara, Sunday, February 18.
