Prabowo-Gibran Raised The Most Votes In Timor Leste

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subiato and Gibran Rakabuming Raka's presidential-vice presidential candidate pair number 2 won the 2024 election in Timor Leste.

PPLN member Dili Fidelis Ase Olin said, in the plenary meeting of the recapitulation of the vote count on February 17, 2024 at the Indonesian Embassy in Dili, it was known that the pair received 2,106 votes.

Meanwhile, pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo 'Mahfud MD won 987 votes, and pair number 1 Anies Baswedan 'Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) received 307 votes. There are 18.

In percentage, Prabowo-Gibran received 61.6 percent of the votes, Ganjar-Mahfud 28.9 percent, and Anies-Muhaimin 9.0 percent, while invalid votes reached 0.5 percent.

The Indonesian citizen (WNI) voters who voted in the ballot booth reached 3,418 out of 5,833 people on the PPLN Dili Permanent Overseas Voter List (DPTLN).

For the election of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the most votes were won by PDIP (937), followed by the Gerindra Party (700), PSI (437), Golkar Party (356), PKS (165), Democratic Party (153), PKB (144), PAN (131), Perindo (70), Nasdem Party (61), PPP (43), Labor Party (21), Hanura Party (19), Gelora Party (17), Ummat Party (17), PKN (7), Garuda Party (6), and UN (3). Unauthorized votes reached 140. Previously on Wednesday (14/2), the Outer State Voting Organizing Group (KPPSLN) in Timor-Leste held vote count starting at 15.00 local time which received widespread attention from the public, according to PPLN.

The 2024 election in Timor-Leste will be safe, orderly and smooth. The Indonesian people enthusiastically voted for their political choices in eight Foreign Voting Places (TPSLN) that were prepared," said Fidelis.

Voting in the country was carried out through voting in eight TPSLN on February 11 and the Overseas Mobile Voice Box (KSKLN) for Indonesian citizens in 12 districts on February 4-6.

Like in other countries outside Indonesia, Indonesian citizens in Timor-Leste only choose the presidential-vice presidential and member pairs of the DPR.

"On behalf of PPLN Dili and all the organizers of the 2024 General Election in Timor-Leste, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all parties who helped smooth the holding of the General Election," said Fidelis.

The Timor-Leste National Police (PNTL) and two NTT Police personnel who were assigned to the Indonesian Embassy Police Attache Dili also secured the implementation of the Indonesian elections in Dili and districts.
