Voxpol Center: Screenshot Of Quick Count Anies-Cak Imin Capai 41.47 Percent, Hoax!

JAKARTA - Executive Director of the Voxpol Center Research and Consulting Pangi Syarwi Chaniago denied information about the results of quick calculations on behalf of the Voxpol Center on social media.

On social media X, previously known as Twitter, screenshots circulated showing the results of the quick count or quick count of candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, winning 41.37 percent of the votes.

Meanwhile, pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming, received 33.33 percent of the votes and pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, won 25.30 percent of the votes.

As of Thursday (15/2/2024) at 17.30 WIB, the upload has been viewed about 2.4 million times on social media X or Twitter.

Pangi Syarwi emphasized that the screenshot was a hoax. The Voxpol Center Research and Consultant did hold a quick count or quick count in the 2024 presidential election. However, the composition of the votes acquired by the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs has never been like that.

"So in our data, it can be seen that in the minutes that are spread across the screen captured on CNN's national television, it is true that hoaxes are very neat, almost no gradation is seen, how to edit them, there are almost no traces on the screenshot photo, such an extraordinary crime like this," Pangi said in a written statement, Friday, February 16.

Based on the results of the Voxpol Center Research and Consultant fast count on Wednesday (14/2/2024) at 15.18, Anies-Muhaimin received 23.99 percent of the votes.

Meanwhile, the Prabowo-Gibran pair were at 58.04 percent and Ganjar-Mahfud got 17.97 percent.

In the fast count data at 3:23 p.m., according to the time on the viral screenshot photo, the Voxpol Center's quick count showed the Anies-Muhaimin pair got 23.99 percent of the votes. Meanwhile, Prabowo-Gibran 58.09 percent and Ganjar-Mahfud 17.92 percent.

Pangi also revealed the Voxpol Center fast count data at 15.36 WIB, showing the Anies-Muhaimin pair getting 24.38 percent of the votes. Prabowo-Gibran received 57.81 percent of the votes and 17.80 percent of Ganjar-Mahfud votes.

"So if we look at the data at 15.23 and 15.36, from the Voxpol Center dashboard the data stability occurs, there is no data at 15.11 or 15.23 or 15.36 there is a 41 percent jump in vote acquisition data for Anies-Muhaimin pairs, for example. It is very unfortunate in the midst of elections that should be able to think objectively empirically, believe in data, not only intersubjective, assumptions, perceptions let alone very baper on data. Data is data, whether like it or not is data. So it should not be beneficial to data, "said Pangi.

Pangi appealed to the public not to spread hoaxes related to elections on behalf of survey institutions.

"We urge you to stop, don't continue with this kind of thing. Because our basis is measurable, there is data, we have dashboard data, it actually has stability. The released data is quite large," said Pangi.

"That's what we really regret, we urge you not to spread hoaxes, it will interfere with credibility towards institutions, it is tantamount to slandering, accusing, and discrediting people, including human rights violations, unfair, non-equivalent, unprofessional at all, which is clearly very unwise," added Pangi reminded.

Voxpol Center Research and Consulting noted that pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming, was temporarily superior with 57.13 percent of the votes.

Meanwhile, pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, received 26.47 percent of the votes. And pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pocketed 16.4 percent of the votes.

For the vote acquisition for the fast count of legislative elections, nine political parties are predicted to qualify for Senayan. The nine parties passed after crossing the parliamentary threshold of 4 percent.

These parties include:

The quick count vote was based on 83.5 percent of the total votes as of Thursday (15/2/2024) at 17.30 WIB.

Methodology

The Voxpol Center carried out rapid calculations at 2,000 polling stations in 38 provinces spread from Sabang to Merauke. Thousands of polling stations were systematically selected at certain intervals so that they represented the population geographically.

The Voxpol Center uses a systematic random methodology (systematic random sampling), namely the randomnes sampling method with a principal egual probability in a survey where each element in the population has the same opportunity to be selected as a sample. With that methodology, each TPS has the same opportunities to take.

All valid votes at 2,000 polling stations were selected as Quick Count samples. The Quic Count was held on voting day Wednesday (14/2/2024).

The process of counting the votes for the presidential election starts at 13.00 p.m. in each time zone (WIB/WITA/WIY).
