JAKARTA - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) responded to a narrative that could not be accounted for in a video of the chaos between Madura residents, East Java and officials from the local polling group (KPPS).

"The ballot has been cast on a certain partner, this is not true. The truth is that there was no voting of ballots at the beginning, but the chaos occurred because the C6 model form was not given, so the invitation has not been spread, so the public protested," said Bawaslu Chairman Rahmat Bagja during a press conference reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 14.

Bagja asked related parties who said in the video to immediately straighten out that the riots did not occur because their ballots had been cast.

"Be careful, please don't add unnecessary information. Because the video is not because there is a voting first, but a C6 form or invitation letter to attend the TPS, it is not given," said Bagja.

Bagja ensured that the dispute that occurred in Madura had been resolved by local Bawaslu officers.

According to him, the local voting group was wrong when it did not submit the C6 model form because technically, the KPPS had to distribute the invitation letter to prospective voters at the polling station (TPS) where he was assigned.

However, it is also permissible for prospective voters who take the initiative to take the invitation letter directly to the KPPS house, or the KPPS submits the C6 form to prospective voters through local RT and others.

Bagja said that no criminal regulations were violated in the case of submitting the C6 form which was not given by the KPPS.
