Two Thieves Take IDR 9.7 Million In Pertamina Gas Station, Employees Get Replaced

JAKARTA The Pertamina Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) on Jalan Enggano, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Saturday, February 10, was then burglarized. As a result of the incident, the gas station suffered a loss of Rp9.7 million.

The Head of the Tanjung Priok Police, Kompol Nazirwan, confirmed the incident. He said that his party was conducting an investigation regarding the case.

"That's right, the team has moved to the crime scene under investigation," Nazirwan said when confirmed, Tuesday, February 13.

Nazirwan said that until now his party had not received any reports related to the incident. Therefore, he asked the victim to immediately make a report on the theft so that it could be followed up.

"We ask that the victim immediately report so that it can be followed up. (Actually) We have also communicated with the victim. So now we just have to wait for the report and the officers are still under investigation," he said.

Regarding chronology, Nazirwan did not know further. He ensured that the incident was not a burglary, but a theft committed by two perpetrators.

"Information received by theft, not burglary," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Police, Iptu Idris, said the victim's loss was around Rp. 9.7 million which was placed in the drawer. However, the officer at that time forgot to lock it down.

"Losses Rp9.7 million," he said.

Based on the information received, local gas station employees were forced to compensate for the millions of rupiah by deducting their monthly salaries.
