Connie Rahakundini Denies The Chairperson Of The TKN Regarding Asking For The Dispute Of The Deputy Minister: Offered But Immediately I Answered 'Don't PHP Bos'

JAKARTA - Defense, security and military expert Connie Rahakundini Bakrie emphasized that she had never asked for the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs or Deputy Minister of Defense if Prabowo won the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

According to him, the head of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka National Campaign Team (TKN), Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, offered him the position.

"On the persuasion of HE Rosan to me to join in 02 I was offered whether to become Deputy Minister of Defense or Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs," Connie told reporters, Monday, February 12.

In fact, Connie stated that she immediately rejected the offer from Rosan. Because, he considered it a false promise.

"And at that time I immediately answered 'boss, not PHP'," he said.

Connie's reason for refusing because it was impossible to get that position. Moreover, in the coalition party that carried Prabowo-Gibran, many were filled by political elites.

In addition, Connie admitted that she knew the figure of MR X, not his real name - which made him even more convinced that the offer was just a false promise.

"So the two that were offered, the position of the Deputy Minister that I supported, I didn't accept it, I said 'oh, it's impossible, it makes up' because I know MR. X, maybe if I don't know mr. X, I just believe it. Lah mr. X is a god, I didn't mention his name but he is a god," Connie said

As previously reported, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani agreed that there was a meeting with Connie in November 2023. However, he emphasized that he had never informed Connie about Prabowo's plan for a term of office of only two years.

"The statement that was not from me for two years, he (Connie) said, 'What if it's been two years, or if Prabowo suddenly, I'm an intelligence person, Pak Prabowo could be poisoned, could be faster, what is that?' He said that, "said Rosan.

Rosan emphasized that the meeting actually occurred because of a request from Connie. He denied inviting Connie into the TKN structure and said Connie was intending to join Prabowo-Gibran.

In fact, continued Rosan, during the meeting, Connie actually asked for the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs or Deputy Minister of Defense if Prabowo won the 2024 presidential election.

"He turned out to want to be Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs or Deputy Minister of Defense. I said, 'Mom, that's not my domain, but if you work for Pak Prabowo, maybe there are other options, please convey them to him'," said Rosan.
