JAKARTA - Head of Satpol PP DKI Arifin said he would summon the owner of RM Cafe Cengkareng because he was suspected of violating health protocols, operating outside the specified time limit.

This violation was discovered after a shooting incident by a police officer. This shooting killed three people, one of which was a member of the Indonesian Army.

"There are provisions in the rules and we will summon the person to make an investigation report (BAP)," said Arifin when contacted, Thursday, February 25.

Arifin said, RM Cafe violated DKI Governor Regulation No. 3/2021 because it operated above 21.00 WIB.

Because RM Cafe has violated the health protocol twice, it will be sanctioned for 1x24 hour closure until the maximum administrative fine according to the violation.

"Obviously there is a violation of operating hours. We know our operating hours are only limited to 21.00 WIB. Cafes or restaurants are allowed to operate during the PPKM period, but there are operational hours limits," Arifin explained.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that the incident started when the CS suspect came to drink alcohol at 02.00 WIB, Thursday, February 25.

After about two hours at the cafe, the CS police were about to leave the location. Therefore, these police officers have to pay for the alcoholic drinks he has drunk. Here a quarrel occurred when a RM Cafe employee handed me a bill.

"But at around 4:00 a.m. because the cafe was already closed, when they were about to make payments, an argument broke out between the suspect and the cafe staff," said Yusri.

"With a drunken state, CS brother took out a firearm and shot the 4 employees. Three died on the spot and 1 is still being treated in hospital," said Yusri.

The police who shot 4 people have been named as suspects. He was charged with article 388 of the Criminal Code on murder.
