Prevent Money Politics, South Tangerang Bawaslu Will Conduct Closed Patrols

TANGERANG - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of South Tangerang (Tangsel) said it would conduct patrols in its area when it entered the quiet period of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). The goal is to prevent money politics from participating in the election.

"We are patrolling during the calm period of the election until the D-day," said South Tangerang City Bawaslu Chairman Muhamad Acep when confirmed on Sunday, February 11.

Acep revealed that his party had separate strategies that were not known to the 2024 election participants. However, he was reluctant to mention the strategy, because it was closed.

"This is our trick, later if it is informed. Later it will become laughing. We have tricks to prevent Money Politics," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the control of Campaign Performance Equipment (APK) during the calm period of the 2024 General Election, his party will clean up the whole thing.

He explained that residents were allowed to remove the remaining APKs when entering a calm period of the election.

"Please just let the residents (remove the remaining APKs)," he concluded.
