Bandung City Government Deploys 1,700 Satpol PP Personnel To Remove Campaign Performance Equipment Starting Early Today

The Bandung City Government has confirmed that it will deploy 1,700 personnel from the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) to control the campaign props (apk) for the 2024 General Election, starting on Sunday, February 11, early in the morning at 00.00 WIB.

Acting (Pj) Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliyono said the control was an activity of the Bandung City Bawaslu to carry out a calm period of the 2024 General Election, which in its implementation involved the Bandung City Government, as well as the TNI and Polri.

"Later tonight at 00.00 WIB there will be a paving agenda throughout Bandung City, supported by government officials, including the police, TNI and Satpol PP. For Satpol PP, 1,700 personnel have been deployed throughout Bandung City," said Bambang in Bandung as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, February 10.

Bambang hopes that the number of personnel deployed and existing resources can complete these activities according to the target in two days.

"Our human resources, hopefully enough and can be completed within two or three days, namely February 13, 2024, have all dropped," he said.

It is known that the campaign period is scheduled to end on February 10, 2024 at 23.59 p.m., and on February 11, 2024 at 00.00 a.m. in peace time.

During this quiet period, campaign activities for the general election were not allowed, both for the presidential election (pilpres) and also for the legislative elections (pileg).
