Police Prepare 5,171 Personnel To Secure GBK's Grand Campaign At And JIS

JAKARTA - The police have prepared 5,171 personnel to secure the campaign for presidential and vice presidential candidates (candidates) to take place at the Jakarta International Stadium and Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on Saturday (10/2).

"We divide the two for security at JIS as many as 2,356 personnel, while at GBK there are 2,755 personnel," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 9.

All of these personnel are joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres, Kodam Jaya, ranks at the provincial government level, and ranks at the city government level (Satpol PP, Dishub, Damkar, and Health Office).

In addition, specifically for the campaign in the GBK area, a free day is applied for participants from 14.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB.

The police appealed to the public to jointly create security, safety, order, and smooth traffic (kamseltibcarlantas).

"Let us pray together for the realization of the security of the implementation of elections, maintain the unity of national unity, so that we are not divided and we all hope that the implementation of the 2024 General Election will run safely, peacefully and with dignity," said Ade Ary.

Previously, Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman had also prepared situational traffic engineering in the two campaign locations.

The following are the engineering that will be implemented in the JIS area on Saturday (10/2):

Vehicles from Jalan RE Martadinara specifically for residential residential vehicles and JIS visitors, vehicles straight to Bintang Mas;

Three-axis or more vehicles from the Polair direction turn left towards Jalan Enggano Raya;

Three-axe vehicles or more from the direction of Yos Sudarso Street to Pluit were turned back at the terminal T-junction and returned to Yos Sudarso;

Vehicles from the Papanggo Toll Road at the Papanggo T-junction specifically connecting settlements and JIS visitors;

Vehicles at the Bisma intersection specifically for residential residents and visitors to JIS;

Vehicles at the Setivia intersection are specifically residents and visitors to JIS.

Then the traffic flow engineering that will be carried out by the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya around GBK:

The traffic flow from Jalan Gatot Subroto which will go to Jalan Gerbang Pemuda is directed straight towards Slipi;

The traffic flow from the direction of Slipi is directed straight towards Semanggi, no one goes to Ladokgi Flyover towards Jalan Gerbang Pemuda;

The traffic flow from the Senayan Roundabout to Jalan Pintu I Senayan is straightened to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman towards Semanggi;

The traffic flow from Mustopo Street to Asia Afrika Street is diverted to the right to Jalan Hang Tuah;

The traffic flow from Jalan Patal Senayan 1 which leads to Jalan Asia Afrika is diverted to the left to Jalan Army Students;

The traffic flow towards Manggala Wanabakti who was going to Jalan Lapangan tembak was straightened to Jalan Army Pelajar.

The grand campaign of the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) pair is planned to start at 07.00 WIB until 12.00 WIB, Saturday (10/2)

Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's grand campaign which will be held at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Saturday (10/2), the campaign is planned to take place at 14.00 p.m. local time, but the entrance has been opened starting at 12.30 p.m. local time.
