The Aceh Besar District Attorney (Kejari) has detained four suspects for alleged corruption in the construction of the Puskesmas with a contract value of Rp. 2.64 billion.

Head of the Aceh Besar Kejari Basril G in Aceh Besar, said the four suspects were detained for fear of escaping, damaging or other actions that could hinder the investigation process.

"The detention of the suspects is for the purposes of the investigation process. The suspects were detained for 20 days at the Jantho Class IIB Detention Center, Aceh Besar District," Basril said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 6.

He mentioned the four suspects had the initials TZF (53), MR (38), SI (50), and SN (30). The suspects have their respective roles in the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Lamtamomot Gunung Biram Health Center, Lembah Seulawah District, Aceh Besar District.

In the 2019 fiscal year, the Aceh Besar District Government through the Health Office built the Lamtamomot Gunung Biram Health Center with a contract value of IDR 2.64 billion.

The suspect TZF as the Technical Implementation Officer of Activities (PPTK) at the Aceh Besar District Health Office, MR as Deputy Director of CV SN, as the implementing partner company, SI as the company borrower, and SN as the Director of CV DPC, a supervisory consulting firm, are jointly suspected of committing a criminal act of corruption in the construction work of the Puskesmas.

"The suspects are suspected of not carrying out the construction work of the Puskesmas according to specifications, where there is a lack of work. Based on expert examinations, the lack of work caused state losses to reach Rp134 million," he said.

According to Basril, the state loss of Rp. 134 million is based on temporary calculations. Currently, the audit process for state losses is being carried out by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Representative of Aceh Province.

"Investigators are still collecting evidence and asking for statements from witnesses. In this case, it is possible that there will be additional suspects," said Basril.
