Airlangga Regarding Cadres Supporting AMIN: It's Just Cared With Golkar Clothes

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto denied that there were Golkar cadres who switched to support the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 01 Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN).

According to Airlangga, the party in question turned to support AMIN, not a Golkar cadre, but another party wearing the party's clothes bearing the banyan tree symbol.

"Nothing, nothing. It was only worn (weared) Golkar clothes," Airlangga told reporters after attending the Isra Miraj 1445 Hijri Commemoration and the Golkar Indonesia Bertadarus Al-Qur'an (GIBRAN) activity in South Tangerang, Banten, reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 5.

Previously, there was news about a number of Golkar cadres, the United Development Party (PPP), and the National Mandate Party (PAN) who are members of the Kuning, Ijo, Biru (KIB) Sukoharjo community, Central Java who declared support for AMIN. Muhaimin reportedly received the support at the Graha Sejahtera Cemani Building, Sukoharjo, Central Java.

Airlangga also emphasized that currently the Golkar Party continues to try to win the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate number two Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election.

He conveyed that Golkar cadres always pray that the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate number two they support can win the 2024 presidential election.

Airlangga also admitted that he was optimistic that Prabowo-Gibran could win in one round of the 2024 presidential election.

"The Golkar Party is optimistic that the supporters will win one round," he said.
