EAST LOMBOK - A number of personnel from the TNI Kodim 1615 East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) carried out cleaning and transporting waste on the Pelawangan Sembalun climbing route or the Mount Rinjani Lombok area.

The commander of Kodim 1615/Lombok Timur Lieutenant Colonel Bayu Sigit Dwi Untoro said that the cleaning up of the Mount Rinjani Volunteers' climbing route had been completed.

However, the task that must be completed is the transportation of garbage at Post 2 of the Sembalun Volunteer Climbing Line.

"Members are currently continuing the transportation of dozens of sacks of garbage at Post 2 of the Sembalun Volunteer Climbing Line," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 5.

He said the garbage that was still deliberately abandoned during the ups and reforestation of hard tree seedlings at post 2 on Friday (2/2), due to weather conditions and unfavorable terrain.

"At that time the weather was raining heavily and the roads were also slippery to be brought down, so we piled up at one point at post 2 and now we are bringing down along with all the equipment used," he said.

Today's weather conditions on the hiking trail to post 2 are cloudy, thick, foggy and the road is also slippery. However, it did not dampen the enthusiasm to carry piles of garbage sacks to finish to put them into the truck.

"There are those who transport using motorbikes and some also carry them if the road is not possible, what is certain is that garbage must be collected," he said.

"Alhamdulillah, today it's finished, the garbage can be lowered even though it's thick fog and slippery terrain that must be passed, keep the spirit and maintain cohesiveness because there are still many tasks waiting for us to arrive," he said.
