The Tanah Laut District Attorney (Kejari Tala), South Kalimantan, has named MRE, Head of the Tanah Laut Regency Tourism Office, as a suspect in the corruption case of retribution money and tourism insurance.

"MRE follows TW as treasurer of the Tanah Laut Regency Tourism Office who was first named a suspect on December 19, 2023 in this case," said Head of the Tala Kejari, Teguh Imanto, in Pelaihari, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 1.

Teguh explained that the two suspects with the status of state civil servants (ASN) were caught in a corruption case in depositing levy money and tourism insurance from 2022 to August 2023.

As a result of the actions of the two suspects, the potential loss to the state is around Rp. 225 million.

However, Teguh stated that the state's losses were still dynamic, depending on calculations that could later be revealed further from the progress of the investigation.
