Next Week, Aiman Witjaksono Will File A Pretrial On Mobile Confiscation

JAKARTA - National Winning Spokesperson (TPN) Ganjar-Mahfud MD, Aiman Witjaksono will register a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court, next week. The lawsuit is related to the confiscation of his cellphone in the alleged case of spreading false news or hoaxes 'the police are not neutral'.

"Yes, we plan to propose a precondition next week we will register it at the South Jakarta District Court," Finsensius told reporters, Thursday, February 1.

In the pretrial lawsuit, the defendant will later be the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto.

"Of course (the lawsuit) is about confiscation. The respondent is the National Police Chief cq the Metro Jaya Police Chief," he continued.

The pretrial legal action will be taken because the confiscation process is considered unusual. Moreover, Aiman Witjaksono is still a witness in the alleged case of spreading false news.

"The origin of the confiscation is not, this is what we really regret. This should be unusual, it is very unusual for investigators to confiscate in their status who are still witnesses," said Finsensius.

For information, Aiman had complained to the Press Council, Kompolnas, and the Indonesian Ombudsman. The spokesman for the Ganjar-Mahfud TPN asked for protection after his cellphone was confiscated by Polda Metro Jaya investigators.

Most recently, Aiman complained about investigators from Polda Metro Jaya, including Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak as Director of Special Criminal Investigation to Propam Polri.
