Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Satake Bayu Setianto, said the TNI/Polri neutrality post in the 2024 General Election had stood in 35 resort police (polres) throughout Central Java.
"It was established strategic locations in each district/city for 24 hours," said Kombes Satake as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.
According to him, the post guarded by Military Police and Police Propam personnel was opened from January 26 to February 20, 2024.
The TNI/Polri neutrality post, he said, was a form of cooperation between the Central Java Regional Police and Kodam IV/Diponegoro in ensuring that the security personnel were neutral during the election.
Kombes Satake hopes that it will be easier for the public to know the existence of the post and it is easier to report if there are allegations of violations of neutrality of TNI/Polri personnel.
