JAKARTA - Qatar's prime minister on Monday said he hoped the United States' retaliation for a drone strike that killed three of its troops in Jordan would not weaken progress towards a new Israeli-Hamas hostage release deal in weekend talks.

"I hope no one will weaken our efforts or jeopardize the process," said Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al Thani before a think tank in Washington, when asked whether US retaliation for Iran-backed militant attacks could be carried out. canceling the deal that emerged., reported Reuters January 30.
