Bahlil Alludes To The Minister Who Wants To Resign: Back Down, No Need To Disturb Many Comments

JAKARTA - Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia touched on ministers who wanted to withdraw from Jokowi's cabinet. Without naming, Bahlil asked the minister to immediately leave Jokowi's cabinet

"There are those who want to withdraw from the Cabinet, so if you just back down, you don't have to bang, you don't have to comment much," said Bahlil at GOR Bulungan, South Jakarta, Tuesday, January 30.

This statement is related to Mahfud MD's desire to resign from the position of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs. Mahfud, who is the vice presidential candidate for Ganjar Pranowo, has several times spoken about resigning, but the resignation letter is not yet clear.

"The characteristics of people who want to lose are reasonable," said Bahlil.

Meanwhile, Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said Mahfud MD had not submitted a letter of resignation to President Joko Widodo.

Ari Dwipayana confirmed that the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD met with the Minister of State Secretary (Menseneg) Pratikno in Jakarta, Monday, January 29, at around 19.15 WIB.

"You need to know, in last night's meeting, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mr. Mahfud MD, has not submitted a letter of resignation," said Ari Dwipayana, Tuesday, January 30.

Pratikno admitted to meeting with Mahfud MD. During the meeting, Ari said Mahfud, who is also a vice presidential candidate number 3 participants in the 2024 presidential election, wanted to convey his request to meet with Jokowi.

However, Jokowi is still carrying out work visits in Central Java and is expected to arrive in Jakarta on Thursday (1/2).

Mahfud's request to meet Jokowi will also be reported by Pratikno upon Jokowi's arrival in Jakarta, so that the schedule for the second meeting can be arranged.
