Some Of The KPPS Transportation Money Has Not Been Disbursed, KPU: The Budget Has Been Down, No Cuts

The KPU reminded its staff not to cut the rights of voting group officials (KPPS) who will serve in the 2024 General Election.

"The KPU strongly warns the ranks never to cut rights from voting group officials, such as transportation money and others," said KPU member Parsadaan Harahap, in Medan as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.

His party heard that there were deductions from KPPS transportation money in a number of areas.

"Regarding the Bimtek KPPS, it is almost evenly distributed, we hear that the deduction of transportation money and the rights of participants. I ask North Sumatra not to happen," he said.

He explained that KPPS officers have the right to carry out their duties in the 2024 General Election and have been budgeted by the KPU.

"The maximum transportation is IDR 150 thousand, there is a maximum but don't give it less. There is already a reasonable and approximate price. We have given it in the budget," he said.

The KPU recruited 5.7 million KPPS officers throughout Indonesia to serve in 820,161 polling stations (TPS).

"We have budgeted for Bimtek throughout Indonesia for 5.7 million officers, with funds of IDR 5 trillion," he said.

The Indonesian KPU reminded the commitment of the district/city KPU election organizers to carry out their duties in accordance with applicable regulations,

"I said no more, there are cuts, no more saying the budget has not gone down, that's not true. It's just a matter of friends' commitment as implementers. Whether they don't do it according to the rules or not," he said.
