Today, Judge Will Read Firli Bahuri's Lawsuit Revoking

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) continues to hold a pretrial hearing for the former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK, Firli Bahuri, today. Later, the sole hakum who judges the case will read out the letter of revocation of the lawsuit.

Firli Bahuri is known to have decided to withdraw the pretrial lawsuit for his determination as a suspect in the alleged extortion and or gratification case against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL, on Janauri 26.

"(The application letter) has been received. It will still be officially read out in court," said the Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta District Court, Djuyamto, quoted on Tuesday, January 30.

Based on the Case Tracking Information System or SIPP, the trial will be held in courtroom 01 at around 14.00 WIB.

The revocation of the pretrial lawsuit is known to be reasonable because the Firli Bahuri camp considers the substantiality of the application material.

Firli Bahuri's attorney, Fahri Bachmid said another reason behind the withdrawal of the lawsuit was considering several technical strategies that needed to be elaborated.

"We elaborate further, by taking into account existing legal principles, we will enrich pretrial materials so that they are more elementary," said Firli Bahuri's attorney, Fahri Bachmid.

"So that it becomes in accordance with the needs and legal interests of our client's pretrial application, Mr. Firli Bahuri," he continued.

Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri's pre-perdulan lawsuit has been registered at the South Jakarta District Court with case number 17/Pid.Pra/2024/PN JKT.SEL.

The main material in the lawsuit is whether or not the determination is legal as a suspect.

In the lawsuit, the respondent, namely the Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak.
