Check Ridwan Kamil Regarding Reports Of Alleged Money Sawer, West Java Bawaslu Asks 30 Questions

BANDUNG - The West Java Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) conducted an examination of the Chairperson of the Presidential Candidate TKD Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka for West Java, Ridwan Kamil (Emil), by asking 30 questions regarding reports of alleged election violations.

The Coordinator of the West Java Bawaslu Violation Handling Division, Syaiful Bachri, said Ridwan Kamil was presented with the capacity as the reported party to follow up on reports with registrations 001 and 002 that had entered them regarding activities in the Jambore BPD Tasikmalaya Regency.

"A total of about 30 questions were asked regarding the presence of Emil at the Jambore BPD activity in Tasikmalaya Regency," said Syaiful at the West Java Bawaslu office, Bandung, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 29.

After this, said Syaiful, his party together with the Integrated Law Enforcement (Gakumdu) will carry out further processes to solve this problem.

"If necessary, later an expert will ask for an examination, because the content is related to the video. After this, we will evaluate whether there is sufficient examination or we still need other information," he said.

He said there were two alleged violations that were followed up, namely money palmers and the second involved BPD. If proven to have violated, Ridwan Kamil will be subject to Article 280 paragraph 1 concerning election crimes.

"Of course we will prove it. Whether the activity is a campaign or not. According to Perbawaslu Number 7, we have 7 + 7 (14 working days) and this week we will finish the cases001 and 002," he said.

Apart from Ridwan Kamil, West Java Bawaslu has also summoned five witnesses, namely the organizing committee, the Chairperson of the Tasikmalaya Regency PABDSI, the General Chair of the Central PABDS, witnesses from the report file.

"We have not stated anything because the process is ongoing. Later we will assess whether there is an element campaign or not," he said.

Previously, Ridwan Kamil was reported for allegedly carrying out campaigns and money politics at the Jambore event Management of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) throughout Tasikmalaya Regency which was held in Cipatujah District, Saturday (13/1).

There are allegations of violations of ASN neutrality during the campaign stage of the viral 88-second video, where the Chairperson of the West Java Prabowo-Gibran TKD, Ridwan Kamil used the attributes of the candidate pair (paslon) at the activities of the Tasikmalaya Regency Village Consultative Body (BPD).

In the video footage, there are allegations that Ridwan Kamil shouted three times at the president who was greeted by the crowd under the name Prabowo.
