Atikoh Tells Ahmad Basarah's Funny Moment 'Convicts' For Ganjar When Taking Hajj

The wife of the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, Siti Atikoh, told about her husband's close relationship with the chairman of the PDI-P DPP, (Ahmad) Basarah. He said, there was a funny moment between the two during the pilgrimage together.

This story was shared by Atikoh during a visit to the PPAI Darun Najah 2 Islamic Boarding School in Malang Regency, East Java, Saturday, January 27, 2024.

At that time, Basarah was present to accompany Atikoh to meet the leaders and founders of Ponpes, Kiai Haji Achmad Muchtar Ghozali, as well as Muslim women NU and students.

"There is a funny story, Mas Basarah and I have been with Mas Basarah since Mas Ganjar was still in the DPR RI, including when (the pilgrimage, red) had a pilgrimage. Mas Basarah sacrificed for Mas Ganjar," said Atikoh starting the story.

Atikoh said that at that time Ganjar did not bring scissors or a barber. In fact, during tahallul, a man had to shave his hair until he was bald. Meanwhile, Basarah, when it was carrying a barber.

"Mas Ganjar did not bring scissors, did not bring a barber. When tahallul went to Mas Basarah's room, 'this, let's change who first?'," he said.

Basarah called Atikoh is willing to sacrifice for Ganjar. He invited his colleague to use the shaving equipment he was carrying first.

After Ganjar, Basarah then took turns using the tool. However, the battery turned out to run out.

"Mas Basarah's flow is only half his hair cut, the battery is gone," said Atikoh, greeted by laughter from the audience.

"So, during the Hajj, the queue was extraordinary. Mas Basarah with half bald had to look for a barber," he continued.

After the incident, their friendship became closer.
