PALEMBANG - General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto targets presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming in the 2024 presidential election in South Sumatra (Sumbagsel) to vote above 55 percent.
"We set a target of winning more than 55 percent of the vote in South Sumatra to win Prabowo-Gibran," said Airlangga after the Consolidation of the Golkar Party's Victory in Palembang, as reported by Antara, Friday, January 26.
Dalam target tersebut, pihaknya terus menyapa masyarakat, serta menyampaikan program-program yang dilaksanakan pemerintah saat ini. “Kami juga terus menyampaikan program-program berkelanjutan nanti,” ujarnya.
Regarding the target of winning votes in the legislative elections (pileg) nationally, Golkar has set a target of 20 percent.
"However, specifically for South Sumatra, the target is to win four seats in the DPR RI,” he said.
Airlangga said that during the consolidation the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Golkar Party in South Sumbag to check readiness for the 2024 election.
"Since this is ahead of the 2024 election, we ask all the chairmen in this area to continue to move to win Mr. Prabowo and Mr. Gibran, as well as win legislative elections in each region," he said.

The KPU has also set a campaign period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, then the voting schedule will be on February 14, 2024.
