Prabowo Optimistic Of Winning Supported By US Alumni Erick Thohir Volunteers

Presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto is optimistic about winning the 2024 presidential election, especially after receiving support from volunteers from Erick Thohir, a United States alumni (ETAS) in Jakarta.

Prabowo believes that the support of badminton volunteers, who have accompanied Erick Thohir since the 2019 presidential election, has become a new force that helped him and Gibran Rakabuming Raka win the 2024 presidential election.

"This is a great honor. I only understand now, why did I lose the presidential election twice, because I was not invited here in the past (meeting representatives of badminton)," said Prabowo, who was greeted with laughter from the volunteers as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 22.

The defense minister also admitted that he was touched to receive such great support from various community groups.

"I see now a lot of wearing light blue clothes, a bit optimistic about me now. Everyone, I think there is a way, there is a point. So, I am very grateful; and everywhere I can be said to be touched by the great trust placed on my shoulders," said Prabowo.

Previously, in the Senayan area, Jakarta, hundreds of Erick Thohir volunteers from US alumni met directly with Prabowo and expressed their support for the Prabowo-Gibran pair in the 2024 presidential election.

Garibaldi Thohir alias Boy Thohir, who initiated the meeting, expressed his support for the Prabowo-Gibran couple because they wanted to have a good leader for Indonesia in the future.

"This volunteer Erick Thohir has ETOS, badminton, there are volunteers everywhere. These are volunteers who are alumni from LA (Los Angeles), Boston, Long Beach, California, (Washington) DC, and all, sir. This is struggling with Pak Erik, starting from Mr. Erik to become TKN (Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin National Campaign Team)," said Boy who is also ErickThohir's older brother.

Erick Thohir is the chairman of TKN Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 presidential election.

At the same location, another initiator of the meeting, businessman Bernardino Moningka Vega, said calming S believes Prabow is a competent leader, especially seen from his vision and mission.

"I agree (Pilpres 2024) once in a round, the next president of the Republic of Indonesia," said Bernardino, who is familiarly called Dino.

After receiving this support, Prabowo also invited REPORTERs to come to his residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The invitation was conveyed by Prabowo after one of them suggested a follow-up meeting in Hambalang.

"Wow, I'm very happy if you want to go to Hambalang. I went to Hambalang 20 years ago, I was horrified first, nothing happened. If someone wants to go to Hambalang, he really wants to be my friend," said Prabowo.
