Makassar Satpol PP Members Have Not Been Paid For 3 Months, DPRD Asks City Government To Give An Explanation

MAKASSAR - Members of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Makassar City, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) have complained about unpaid wages for 3 months.

The secretary of Satpol PP Makassar, Muh Iqbal Asnan, said that as many as 720 contract workers since January and 102 civil servants since December have reportedly not received salaries to date.

"First of all I explain, Satpol PP has 720 contract employees, 102 civil servants. For contract workers, their income is called honorarium, contract workers usually call it contract salary. From January to this second it has not been paid. For civil servants there is such a thing as TPP, since December, it has not been accepted, "said Makassar Satpol PP Secretary Muh Iqbal Asnan to reporters, Tuesday, February 23.

Payments in arrears due to administrative delays. However, the Satpol PP claims to have prepared a file for a long time at the Regional Asset Financial Management Agency (BPKAD) Makassar.

"We have submitted the file, if we have submitted civil servants since December, the process is all in Finance already," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Commission A of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Makassar City, Supratman, responded to the complaints experienced by Satpol PP.

"It is natural that a person who has worked for three months does not receive his salary, so it is only natural that he wants to question," said Supratman.

The Makassar City Government was asked to explain the problems that occurred until the Satpol PP salaries had not yet been paid.

"Don't take too long without a clear answer, no clear reason, that today why the Satpol salary has not been issued. So if it hasn't been resolved, the government must explain because this is internal, "he continued.
