Riau Police Arrest Owners Of 2 Kilograms Of Shabu And Thousands Of Ecstasy Pills

The Riau Regional Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate arrested two narcotics dealers with the initials ML and MG with 2.6 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 4,700 ecstasy pills, and 215 pilhappy five strips.

Director of the Narcotics Directorate of the Riau Police, Kombes Manang Soebeti, explained that the two perpetrators had been in action for two months and circulated 14 kilograms of methamphetamine. The perpetrator was arrested on Saturday (20/1).

"They act as distributors to buyers in Pekanbaru on orders from the controller, who is suspected of being an international network," Manang said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 22.

This disclosure was carried out in three different locations in Pekanbaru, namely on Jalan HR Soebrantas, then, at the boarding house on Jln Ibunya Tambusai, and in the hotel room on Jalan Gatot Subroto. "The arrest of the perpetrator was carried out after the Subdit I team received information from the public about drug transactions in the Panam area, Pekanbaru," explained Kombes Manang.

The perpetrators received a salary of Rp. 3 million for each kilogram of crystal methamphetamine distributed. The total revenue for that reached Rp. 30 million.

"These perpetrators receive a wage of Rp. 30 million. So per kilo the perpetrators get a wage of Rp. 3 million. They divide into small packages for distribution," said Manang.

The perpetrators were charged under Article 114 and Article 112 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of the death penalty or life imprisonment.
