Minister Of Professionals Is More Difficult To Resign From The Cabinet

JAKARTA Two ministers from professional circles, Sri Mulyani and Basuki Hadimuljono are rumored to be withdrawing from the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. However, a political observer from Al Azhar Indonesia University, Ujang Komarudin, believes that ministers from professionals will find it more difficult to resign.

"I still see that in the context of the minister of resignation, it is only a matter of mere, it is a bit difficult to resign. Yes, if it depends on the party from the minister, if it is personal, it is difficult to resign, if it is professional, Jokowi will immediately appoint it," he said, Sunday, January 21.

This is actually different from ministers from political parties who have the opportunity to resign. "So the ministers from the party can resign the most. But in today's context, PDIP also doesn't dare to resign, that's it. Moreover, other ministers," said Ujang.

According to him, the issue of the resignation of ministers from the cabinet is related to the discourse on Jokowi's impeachment. Because, if there are many ministers who submit resignations, it will show that the cabinet ranks do not trust Jokowi as a leader.

This can be seen from the issue that was first raised by economist Indef Faisal Basri who said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono would resign.

"So I see that the issue of resignation is related to the issue of Jokowi's impeachment. So if the ministers back down a lot, that's the direction of Jokowi's impeachment. So if the ministers resign, the hope is that the ministers will no longer believe in Jokowi, then the impeachment scenario will be carried out by political opponents. It's roughly like that," explained Ujang.

He stated that the issue of the resignation of the ministers had been raised for a long time, when the relationship between Jokowi and PDIP began to not be harmonious. In fact, the issue of Megawati Soekarnoputri will withdraw five ministers from the cabinet, not happening until now.

"I see that until today the Jokowi government is still stable, ministers are also committed, parties are also committed to maintaining the government until October 2024," concluded Ujang.
