KPU Sets Cak Imin's First Turn To Expose Vision And Mission In Fourth Debate

The General Election Commission (KPU) has set the turn for the presentation of the vision and mission of each presidential and vice-presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election debate. In the fourth debate, it was determined that the vice presidential candidate number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar received first place in reading his vision and mission and program.

This continued the sequence of reading the vision and mission in the third debate, where the presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo got his first turn.

"Later in the fourth debate, the order for submitting the vision and mission will start from candidate 1," said KPU RI Commissioner August Mellaz at a press conference at the KPU RI office, Central Jakarta, Friday, January 19.

Meanwhile, the position of the vice presidential podium in the fourth debate was determined by Mahfud MD, the center side of Muhaimin Iskandar, and the right side of Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"For the position, the candidate pair 1 will be in the middle. That has been arranged. The final debate will return again 1, 2, 3. If the third debate was yesterday, the candidate position was 3. So it is in accordance with the rotation," said Mellaz.

The fourth debate for the 2024 presidential election will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Sunday, January 21 starting at 19.00 WIB.

The debate will bring together the vice presidential candidate number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar, vice presidential candidate number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka and vice presidential candidate number 3 Mahfud MD.

The theme of the debate discussed sustainable development and the environment, natural resources and energy, food, agrarianism, indigenous peoples, and villages.

The fourth debate was guided by two female moderators, namely Retno Pinasti and Zilvia Iskandar. The two moderators are journalists proposed by the television station appointed by the KPU as media for organizing the fourth debate for the 2024 presidential election.

Panelist who formulated the fourth debate question consisted of the majority of academics and some of them were practitioners who were members of civil society organizations.

The names of panelists for the fourth debate of the 2024 presidential election, namely Abrar Saleng (Agrarian Law Officer and Natural Resources at Hasanuddin University), Arie Sudjito (Village Sociologist/Fisipol Lecturer Universitas Gadjah Mada).

Then, Arif Satria (Political Ecology Officer/Rector of the Bogor Agricultural Institute), Dewi Kartika (Ahli Agrarian/Secretary General of the Agrarian Reform Consortium), Fabby Tumiwa (Executive Transitional Energy/Director of the Institute for Essential Services Reform), and Hariadi Kartodihardjo (Electurer of Natural Resources and Environment / Professor of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment IPB).

Furthermore, Ridwan Yahya (Heltan Forestry and Environment Expert / Professor of Forest Product Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Bengkulu University), Rukka Sombolinggi (Secretary General of the Alliance of Indigenous Peoples of the Archipelago).

Then, Sudharto P. Hadi (Environmental Management Expert/Rector of Diponegoro University 2010 '2015), Sulistyowati Irianto (Professor of Law Anthropology at the University of Indonesia), and Tubagus Furqon Sofhani (Official Planning and Rural Planning at the Bandung Institute of Technology).
