Undergoing Additional Examination, Firli Bahuri Asked 13 Questions

JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, has finished undergoing additional investigations as a suspect in the alleged extortion case against former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Investigators are said to have asked 13 questions.

"There are 13 questions (of which investigators asked Firli Bahuri)," said Deputy Director of Corruption Crimes at the National Police, Kombes Arief Adiharsa, to VOI, Friday, January 19.

The context of the questions raised by investigators was not clearly conveyed to Firli Bahuri.

However, when referring to the statement of the Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, an additional examination of Firli Bahuri was to complete the case file.

Previously, investigators submitted Firli Bahuri's case file on December 15. However, the results of the examination by the investigating prosecutor stated that there were still shortcomings.

"To be asked for additional information and this is part of fulfilling the P19 instructions from the Public Prosecutor at the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office," said Ade.

Meanwhile, the examination process for Firli Bahuri is estimated to last for three hours starting from 09.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB.

After undergoing the examination, the former chairman of the KPK for the 2019-2023 period gave a few statements. It is said, if everything he knows to investigators.

"We have given everything according to the investigator's request and we will follow it next, thank you," said Firli.

Firli is known to have been questioned six times. Two of them were when Firli Bahuri was still a witness on October 26 and November 16.

For the remaining examination, when the former chairman of the KPK was a suspect. Firli Bahuri was asked for the exact information on December 1, December 6, December 27, and January 19.
