Breaking Tears Of Ex-Residents Of Kampung Bayam While Hugping Anies During His Adukan Fate

JAKARTA - The moment of emotion occurred when presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan was present at Anies' Desak event at Half Patiunus, South Jakarta. Before the event began, Anies was visited by a number of residents who used to live in Kampung Bayam, North Jakarta. One of the residents who approached Anies was Muhammad Furqon as the Head of the Tani Group for the Residents of Kampung Bayam. Furqon's tears and a number of residents broke out while expressing their complaints to Anies. To Anies, Furqon questioned the fate of those who have yet to receive certainty about being able to inhabit the Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB). "Sir, what is our fate? There is no certainty where we live yet," said Furqon at the location, Thursday, January 18. When he heard the complaint, Anies immediately hugged Furqon who was still sobbing. Anies patted Furqon's shoulder to calm him down. To Furqon, Anies asked former Bayam Villagers to be patient. The former governor of DKI Jakarta promised to grant the wishes of the residents affected by the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) eviction to get the housing they want, if elected as President in 2024. "Yes, that's it, later we will clean it up together. Bismillah, yes. Be patient, in a few months," said Anies. As is known, the residents of the former Kampung Bayam have not been able to inhabit the KSB because they do not agree with the amount of the rental rate set by PT Jakpro as the DKI BUMD that manages it. In fact, KSB has been inaugurated since October 2022 by Anies for residents of the former Kampung Bayam who were affected by the eviction due to the construction of JIS. Jakpro offers to rent KSB at general rates, while residents want cheaper programming rates. Therefore, as a temporary solution, the government offers that they inhabit other flats in the North Jakarta area, namely the Nagrak Flat. In August 2023, residents of Kampung Bayam also sued the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and PT Jakarta Propertindo to the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) due to this problem.

Then, a few days ago, a number of residents of the former Kampung Bayam returned to the KSB forcibly. This action was carried out because complaints from residents to the DKI Provincial Government who still wanted to stay at KSB had not been heeded.
