Personal Social Media Account Hacked, Mahfud MD: No Political Content, Will Not Be Investigated

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD assessed that hacking by irresponsible parties against his Instagram social media accounts did not have any political content.

"It was only half a day. Only had time to post a picture (video) which also had no political value." Mahfud said at the Presidential Palace, quoted by ANTARA in Jakarta, Thursday, January 18.

He said that currently his @mohmahfudmd Instagram account is completely under his control. According to him, the hack is not a discussion within the government.

"No, there are already a lot of people like this. Already know, the government already knows. There are many like this from a long time ago. There are many politicians, many public figures (had been hacked). That's normal for naughty people," said Mahfud.

He also did not plan to investigate who the perpetrators of the hacking of social media accounts were.

Sebelumnya, Selasa kemarin, akun media sosial Instagram @mohmahfudmd milik Mahfud MD diretas dengan menampilkan video orang-orang menyudul bola berdurasi selama 12 detik.

In the video, there is a description (caption) in Hebrew in the script of Hebrew, which if interpreted in the literature reads, "God is above me, who can control me?".

Special Staff of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Rizal Mostary said that all uploads and messages sent from the @mohmahfudmd account since Tuesday, around 16.00 WIB, were not under the control of Mahfud MD.

Mahfud's social media accounts were also successfully restored in a few moments.
