North Kalimantan Governor Reminds Procurement Of Goods And Services Must Follow The Rules

TANJUNG SELOR - Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal Arifin Paliwang asked the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Kaltara Provincial Government to carry out the procurement stage properly, especially avoiding budget fraud.

This was revealed by the Governor when opening the socialization of the procurement of goods and services followed by ASN who were involved as the PPK Budget User Authority (KPA), PPTK and treasurer as well as functional officials managing goods and services, Wednesday, January 17.

"Procurement of goods and services is an important aspect in administering government and getting the value of benefits

as much as possible. Moreover, it must be transparent, open, compete fairly, not discriminatory and accountable," said the Governor of Kaltara.

Zainal emphasized that the procurement of goods and services must be carried out properly and correctly so that there is no fraud.

"What is clear is that if it is managed haphazardly or is not guided by these signs, it will harm the community. This can make people no longer trust the government," he explained.

Zainal said that vulnerable points at the planning stage could occur in prospective providers who had been directed.

"The engineering of appointments in order to avoid the tender process until the interference of outsiders can also occur so that it has an impact on the quality of work that does not meet specifications and payments that are not in accordance with the quality of the work. Especially if the work is fictitious," he concluded.
