Two Months After Debut, Mini JCW Electric And JCW Aceman Pave In Australia

JAKARTA - Two of the newest Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) models, namely JCW Electric and JCW Aceman, have marked its debut globally last October. Two months after its debut, these two models officially entered the Australian market.

Launching from CarExpert, Thursday, December 19, the JCW Electric which entered the electric vehicle line from the Mini brand is marketed starting at 63,990 Australian dollars (Rp651.7 million). Meanwhile, the Aceman JCW is pegged to start at 65,990 Australian dollars (Rp672.1 million).

This legendary brand retains a number of elements that are characteristic of JCW, such as displaying bodykits that are more sporting in front and rear bumpers, presenting iconic side skirts, back wings, diffusers, and John Cooper Works badges.

In order to optimize the control side, Mini presents 18-inch rims for JCW Electric and 19 inches for JCW Aceman combined with high grip tires.

The braking system is also optimized by the presence of stronger brakes with a Chili Red caliber. Then, the control is also improved by setting a special JCW suspension which focuses on typical go-kart driving pleasure.

The interior displays a classic touch typical of JCW such as a black and red pattern on the dashboard as well as a synthetic leather seat on the seat with knitted cloth insertions. However, futuristic elements are also displayed in cabins such as a burning panoramic roof.

Speaking of performance, both are equipped with electric motors that have 255 dk of power and 350 Nm of torque which are distributed to the front wheels. This is 40 dk greater and 20 Nm of torque compared to the SE variant.

In addition, Mini also provides access for additional 20 dk by pressing the booster button at the steering wheel. Thus, this can make it speed up from 0 to 100 km/hour in 5.9 seconds for JCW Electric and 6.4 seconds for JCW Aceman. Both have the highest speed which is limited electronically to 200 km/hour.

The manufacturer gave him a 54.2 kWh battery which was able to provide 371 km of distance for JCW Electric and 355 km for JCW Aceman.

Both JCW Electric and JCW Aceman will be available on the country's market in early 2025.
